Who We Are
The Center for Indonesian Property, Humanity, and Economics Research (CIPHER) is a non-profit foundation addressing issues in the areas of property economics, planology, valuation, human dignity, and sustainable economic growth. CIPHER is officially registered as Yayasan Riset Properti Ekonomi dan Kemanusiaan and legally established under the Keputusan Menteri Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia Republik Indonesia Nomor AHU-0010373.AH.01.04 year 2024.
As an independent, non-profit research institute, we are deeply committed to exploring the nuances of Indonesia’s property market and its implications for social equity and economic development. Our works are driven by passion for finding insights that promote inclusive growth and support policies aimed at eradicating poverty and reducing inequality in Indonesia and around the world. We have been synonymous with groundbreaking research that not only highlights the challenges of the vulnerable and marginalized but also promotes actionable, evidence-based solutions.
We aim to be at the forefront of influencing Indonesia’s future by working together, conducting thorough analysis, and having a strong sense of purpose. We want to promote policies that improve the prosperity and well-being of communities all over the country and deepen our understanding of the intricate relationships between the various areas we focus on.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide solutions to property, economic and humanitarian problems based on research, data, facts, and technology to improve human life and society.
Our Mission
Our mission reflects the integration between property, economy and humanity as follows:
- Property and Economic Policy Innovation: We generate impactful research to guide the development of inclusive policies in the property sector and broader economic frameworks. Our aim is to influence governmental and non-governmental policies at both national and international levels, ensuring they are responsive to the needs of all segments of society, including the most vulnerable.
- Empowerment through Knowledge: By building the capacity of government bodies, civil society, academia, development partners, and the private sector, we facilitate the adoption of research-based policies. Our focus extends to enhancing understanding and implementation of property rights as a cornerstone of economic development and social equity.
- Advancing Policy Discourse: We actively contribute to and shape policy discussions surrounding property economics, human development, and economic resilience. Our research serves as a catalyst for debate and policy innovation, aimed at fostering environments where equitable growth and social inclusion thrive.
- Knowledge Contribution: We are dedicated to enriching the discourse on property economics, poverty, inequality, and sustainable development. We are a repository of knowledge and a source of innovative solutions for Indonesia’s most pressing challenges.
